What is immediately noticeable when unpacking the U32 is the weight, it is considerably light. In my Good, after taking it out of the box and assembling it, which is very easy by the way. Credits to AOC and their wonderful builds, because every monitor is up in seconds and just has a good frame.

Screen Size (inch) 31.5 inch
Resolution 3840×2160
Refresh rate 60Hz
Response time (GtG)4 ms
Panel type VA
Brightness (typical) 350

The U32E2N comes with a 75% frameless design, which means that there is only a clear frame at the bottom. But what is striking is the panel, it is a 31.5″ VA/3FL panel, now probably only the inch size tells you something, but let me tell you that this is a UHD 4K panel. In addition, it gives you a viewing angle of 178 degrees, you can practically stand next to it and still read the image well. Now you will not often have that at home, but if you have to read along at the office, you can do that quite easily with this panel.

Then there are built-in speakers, an HDMI and a Display Port and the monitor comes with Flicker Free technology and Lowblue modes.

Let’s go back to the quality of the panel and the resolution. The colors come out so nicely, your movies pop at you. I wouldn’t recommend the panel for gaming, or you just need to enjoy recreational gaming. The response speed of the panel is 4ms, which can be disastrous in some games.

Then that new feature, Flicker Free, keeps the light glare low in the panel, this ensures that it takes less energy to look at the monitor and you will be less fatigued. This is of course ideal for people at the office or if you want to game a little longer. Your eyes will experience less stress. What I noticed about this myself, that is difficult. I’ve been gaming for so long and work for days behind a screen, I can only say for me it looked great and maybe it looks calmer.

Connections HDMI 2.0 x 2,
DisplayPort 1.2 x 1
Audio output Headphone out (3.5mm)
Speakers 3W x 2

I already mentioned Lowblue modes, you know blue light. Most modern screens try to limit the blue light. The new technique of AOC works slightly differently than the rest, it blocks the blue light, without you noticing this in your colors. The result is delicious in my opinion. I don’t notice any difference in colors, it all just looks good. And for the price of this panel, it’s still great.

What’s good
Thick resolution
Blue light blocking

What’s bad

Design could be considered a bit boring

Conclusion

All in all, the U32E2N is a wonderful panel. It’s not too big, has a great resolution and the colors pop right off your screen. So you have a sleek panel for a sleek price.
