Microsoft today launched its affordable camera-centric smartphone Lumia 830 in India. Unveiled at the IFA last month, the Lumia 830 is marketed as an ‘affordable flagship’ essentially offering a premium camera experience and impressive specs at affordable price.
The Lumia 830 sports terrific rectangular design combining metal frame and polycarbonate shell that looks gorgeous and feels great in your hand. The handset offers ultimate video and imaging experience with 10-megapixel PureView (OIS) camera with ZEISS optics and advanced Rich Recording with three high performance mics.
Powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM, the affordable flagship runs on Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 + Lumia Denim out of the box. The Lumia 830 boasts of a beautiful 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS ClearBlack display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card, 1 MP front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0
It is backed by a 2200mAh battery that offers a standby time of up to 22 days, and talk time of up to 14.8 hours on 3G. It also supports wireless charging.
The Lumia 830 will be available in bright orange, bright green, gray, white, and black colors options for Rs. 28,799 across India starting October 8th. There’s also 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage available free for first 6 months, and chargeable thereafter at a minimal Rs. 125 per month.
