Mobile broadband usage

I have been using my mobile broadband from the operator Hi3G here in Sweden and I have been loving it. In an area where I get GPRS speeds with another Swedish operator Tele2 I get HSUPA speeds with Hi3G. There is another big difference with these two operators. While Tele2 has a 5 Gigabyte Cap you are lowered to GPRS speeds when you go through it but with my operator Hi3G I get HSUPA Speeds and have a 20 Gigabyte cap. When i go through this cap my speed is lowered to regular 3G speed (384 Kilobyte).

The modem that I am currently using the MC990D which offers great speeds and has a Micro SD slot so that it can act as your memory card reader also. I currently have a 16 Micro SDHC card from Sandisk installed into the slot and it has not once failed on me. It has more been super reliable. I have even when beeing mobile been switching cards actively and it has worked without any trouble when using cards from Sandisk and Kingston. What I like is that with this modem the speed does not go down when I am in the cap from both Tele2 and 3. It has otherwise happened alot when I have been using branded modems from both Tele2 and 3. They have not managed to create a modem that is branded and can keep the speed. My recommendation is that if you have the money go for it and get an unbranded modem. It will provide you with a much better experience.

Last month I managed to consume 67 Gigabyte with my Hi3G Modem and it is lovely only paying 25 US Dollar to have a truly unlimited card with you all the time.
