According to Nokia Netherlands the sudden dissapearance of Whats App from the marketplace happened because of a commited upgrade that included both new features and security enhancements.

“There is no security issue in the application due to which it is removed and app is still available for the users which have WhatsApp already installed on their windows phone devices, it’s attributes are private currently”.

According to Nokia the updated version should be back in the Marketplace within the next 48 hours.
