Monster Purity in-ear Stereo Headphones review

For the last few weeks I have been using the Monster Purity Stereo Headphones together with my Lumia 900. Before I used these headphhones I was curious about the audio and remote quality on these headphones and how they would match up with my Beats headphones that I had previously been using. The inital impressions were good and I mean really good. They are available in four different color options black, blue, white and pink. One thing that I immediately liked is that the headphones have a matching theme, they are white from the bottom to the top of the headphones.  The cable is a flat style, which means that it basically is tangle proof, something that I really enjoyed using on Jays headphones and which I really enjoy to use with my Purity headphones.

They come in a packaging that’s luxurious dsgined. These are really the types of headphones that you can store in the carrying case and not having to worry that you will brake them. Hey that is something that I have experienced, it is not something that I enjoy opening up the carrying case and seeing my headphones broken.  In the package there is five extra sives of rubbers included in the package if you have a small or extra large ear canals or if you potentiallly loose the ones that you are using currently.

Even though the remote on the headphones are minimalist designed, it is both easy to use and reliable.  In the box you can also find the ”Nokia AV adapter” which allows you to use the headphones with other devices, it’s a small but great adapter.

The sound quality on these headphones are really good. Compared to the ones that I got with my Lumia 900 it is a no brainer to get these headphones.  If I compare the audio quality with my Beats In Ear headphones it’s a tougher choice – they both offer great sound but there is one factor where the Purity headphones wins for me, over a longer usage period they offer a better level of sound. The audio quality feels much better, it offers a better bass and richer treble. I did not notice any distortion when I used these headphones. One warning that I can give you is that you should not play music at 30/30 sound level. It is way to good then;-) I recommend that you use 20/30 on your Lumia to get that perfect sound level.

The remote playback experience on my Lumia 900 were really good. Honestly it is the first time that I have used a pair of headphones other then iOS headphones that offers a full remote capability. Hoenstly I have not found a pair similar to these headphones as good as in the Android world.  The funny thing is that I tested these headphones with an iPhone and found that the volume control buttons did not work but the control button worked perfectly.

These headphones has worked perfectly for me. I used to be a Beats By Dre fan but the Purity headphones offers an even better experience. The combination of sound and capabilities in these headphones makes them a no brainer for me. If you have a Lumia or a Windows Phone you will not regret getting these headphones.  They are really worth the 99 $ price tag.
