Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia Acro S for the Taiwanese market. Pre-orders for the black, white and pink versions have opened up online and the phone will go on sale early august. The official Sony Store has the handset priced atNT$17,900 (£380, €487, $597)

It seems like good value given its dust and water resistant features. Pre-orders will also receive a Sony towel, suncream lotion and charging station subject to availability. There was a press conference that took place to celebrate the launch and we have included both pictures and videos that shows in what situation you can use it.   As a quick reminder, the Xperia acro S has a 1.5Ghz dual-core S3 Snapdragon MSM8260 chipset, a 4.3-inch display with 720 x 1280 resolution, a 12.1MP rear camera, 1.3MP front facing camera, 16GB of internal memory, micro SD memory card support and a 1910mAh capacity battery.
