Before I went to the US I picked up a white Nokia Lumia 900. Nokia sent me an 800 and that one made me a ‘convert’. The first thing that I noticed when switching sim cards was that the Lumia 900 did not require me to change any settings or password. When I have done the same with my iPhone I actually had to update both the settings and all of the passwords on it. One thing that surprised was that when I popped in my AT&T sim card in it, it actually showed the ‘H’ for HSPDA. If you have a Lumia 900 you can go in and get the 25 Dollar for 1 GB of data. AT&T said that I could use it with my 900 without any trouble.
I have used the Me Hub on my Lumia to both update my Facebook and Twitter followers on my status from my trip. If you think my feed has been way to active you have to blame my Lumia:-)
My european Lumia 900 came with the router capability by default. Naturally I had to try it as a router and it worked perfectly. I have successfully shared data from my 900 to both my iPad and my MacBook Air. Right now I am in Harris Michigan and we drove here from Chicago. During this drive we had both a Garmin GPS and Nokia Drive on and Nokia Drive really out performed the GPS. My favorite function might just be the ‘speed alert function’. Really cool hearing the beep when you drive over the speed limit.
My sister plays on the Symmetra futures tour and I am currently here helping here out. One thing that I have noticed is that there is a lot of iPhone owners here and everybody that I have showed my Lumia has really enjoyed it and wants one of their own. They could reach a lot of potential customers here.
