Boxee is a popular alternative to media player Plex and a couple of months ago they released their long awaited iPhone-App. The app can be used to stream video from their Boxee and share their film experiences through social media.

New in version 1.2 is that they have added global support for Spotify on Boxee Box, Spotify has previously only worked in the countries where the service was available. Another novelty is that you can use the iPhone as a remote control to its Boxee and airplay now can run in the background.
