Sony has since more than a year marketed and sold a small digital device that can communicate via Bluetooth with mobile devices running Android (no support for iOS). The product name is the Sony SmartWatch NM2 and through apps on available for download on Google Play, you can customize the display for viewing and functionally, it is about the most basic features to see who is calling, read text messages and emails, checking your calendar and more.

The small color screen of 1.3 inch has is touch sensitive and consists of a modest 128 x 128 pixels, and the inside cover is a built-in vibrator. The module itself is not attached to the watch, but can be clicked and attached to a breast pocket, and the battery last for 2-3 days under normal use. The price tag of around 750kr reveals that it’s probably not the highest quality product in the world, which also confirms the reviews.

Previously, Sony has offered developers a limited SDK (development kit) to create apps with specific functions for SmartWatch, but now the company has decided to open up the platform for developers to do basically whatever they want. It was during last weekend as Sony arranged an SmartWatch workshop on STPLN in Malmo, where they told SmartWatch platform is now fully open, so that utvcklare can modify the product to function as basically anything – within the confines of what the hardware is made of.

We are now taking the next step to open up SmartWatch. Previously, you’ve been able to create apps for SmartWatch with the Sony Add-on SDK, but now we hope to see even more innovation as we’re making it possible for advanced developers to create and flash alternative firmware, by sharing technical details and instructions.

Sony now offers a “SmartWatch hacker guide” for developers to cave down in, and the company has a website where they will offer downloads of new software developed by third party developers. There is also a guide on how to go about to flash on their device with new software.

What does this mean, really? Well, SmartWatch will soon be a product that gets a whole lot of new applications. Maybe you need to have an active collar for your dog, which will notify you if it escaped? Or why not a little remote for Spotify on your computer? There are many uses for a relatively inexpensive touchscreen with built-in Bluetooth, and developers can now all interesting features enabled.

It would be needed now is a new model of SmartWatch, updated with the latest Bluetooth 4.0 (LE), with support for iOS, a new display that has slightly more pixels and a properly designed lifting. That coupled with the freedoms Sony gives third-party developers should be able to give perhaps the most talked about smart clock right now, Pebble, a competitive match.

Apple released during the night, a new version of AirPort Utility, the software to manage Apple’s Airport products. Version 6.3 of the program lists and compatibility with Apple’s new generations of Airport Extreme and Time Capsule in addition to a new form factor also supports the next WiFi standard 802.11ac.

The update is available in the Mac App Store. An updated version of Airport app for iOS should reasonably be released shortly.

Microsoft has released Office for iPhone, so that you can now edit your document while you are on the go. The only requirement is that you need to have an active Office 365 subscription.

Microsoft Office Mobile is the official Office companion optimized for your iPhone. You can access, view and edit your Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint documents from virtually anywhere. Documents look like the originals, thanks to support for charts, animations, SmartArt graphics and shapes. When you make quick edits or add comments to a document, the formatting and content remain intact.

As usual when it comes a new version of iOS is there any devices that are not supported, but in terms of iOS 7, it’s only the iPhone 3GS and fourth-generation iPod touch with emphasize on foot from iOS 6. These two units are sold not long though fourth-generation iPod touch sold up until Apple as late as May released a new cheaper 4-inch iPod touch. Which makes it about 4-5 months old if we guess that iOS 7 comes out in September / October.

As you can see above, almost all the units all the features of iOS 7. Filters in the camera is a small feature that you keyed’ll miss on the older but it’s a shame that AirDrop only available on the latest devices. Simply put, you get AirDrop if you have Lightning connector on the device.

The PlayStation 4 arrived yesyerday at E3, with a price of 349 Euro or 399 Dollars, it makes it interest considering that the Xbox One comes in at 499 Dollars.  Interestingly enough you can now lend games without restrictions compared to the Xbox One where you can only lend games with the publishes “ok” on the games.

Furthermore there are over 140 games in development for the PS4 according to Sony themeselves.  A few of these titles are Beyond: Two Souls, Rain, Puppeteer, Batman: Arkam Origins, and Gran Turismo 6

Apple  released a lot of new last night and has  followed it up with a new commercial in the style of the fantastic “The Crazy Ones” from 1997.

A movie is not about the products, services or similar but focuses more on values, pride and Apple’s philosophy when it comes to both hardware and software.

The film will be broadcast on TV in the U.S., starting last night , but can be seen today on Apple.com.

There is no doubting that the man has set his mark on iOS7. Comapred to before it looks a lot cleaner and flatter. They have also added recent features such as AirDrop to mobile devices, though that one is limited to recent devices.

The reproduction of the acoustic guitars and vocals of Laugh ‘n’a 1/2 is relaxed and detailed. Michael bubles warm voice is given plenty of space and the same goes for the instruments and bass, which is deep in the right places. I have read some complaints about a touchy and pushy treble so I will of course be curious to investigate the matter.

I picked out songs with piano, pan flute, electronic music and violins but even though I’m right sensitive to cocky treble so I can not agree with the critics. Reverberation from pianos will be defined and rain falling on the roof is the real thing even though it’s snowing outside.  So far the sound has been really good with these headphones.     If you are looking for a pair of headphones for a great price.

The box comes with an information manual about the headphones, a protective case small enough to fit in your gym bag (which you can store extra covers in) , an extra cable and extra earbud covers. The earphones fit nicely in the case, but it’s unfortunately not that well designed  to fit the cable — tangles are inevitable.

The earphones are designed for athletes who may be running outside (perhaps runners who need to hear oncoming traffic) and because of that are not noise-cancelling. You will hear some noise, but not a lot. Also, the Dr. Dre line-up was originally designed for listeners who love bass. These earphones do not deliver on the original brand promise of hard bass capabilities. All that said, I don’t know any athletes or gymnoholics who expect studio-sound quality when working out. In fact, I personally enjoyed the quality, while knowing it wasn’t studio-perfect.

Comfort wize these headphones has been really good.  When I have been running these headphones are really good, so far I have used a lot of other headphones that I easily dropped while running but so far these headphones have been really good. Not dropped them once so far.

The exclusive feeling disappears as soon as I pick up the headphones, for it is something that rattles – the volume control! Hopefully the jingling only my test copy but it still feels very plasticky. With volume control you can both raise and lower the volume, and pause the music and use the iPhone as a music source, you can also use the handset as a headset and check the answer key. The ear cups fit like a glove in their ears to keep out in a big way all around the sound so you may need to be careful when training in environments where, for example, can be cars, or other like skiing. The sound is full-bodied and engaging but maybe slightly muted, the base is really good and the workout feels actually really easy.

These headphones offer great quality that you can use while running and stays in the ear all the time. One thing that I have really enjoyed so far about these headphones are the soundquality and the fit . Great headphones that you can use while running and exercising. So far these headphones are AWESOME. You will not regret these headphones if you decide to get them.
